Delete Your Doogo Account
How Doogo account deletion works, what is removed or anonymized, and what is retained.
Delete in the app
Open the Doogo app and go to Profile → Settings (gear) → Account → Delete my account. Confirm by typing DELETE. Your account identity and sign-in credentials are permanently deleted, identifying account data is removed or anonymized as described below, and you are signed out.
If you can't access the app
Email [email protected] from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will verify your identity and complete the deletion.
What is removed or anonymized
Account deletion removes or anonymizes:
- Sign-in credentials, contact details, profile fields, and device tokens
- Friends, followers, follow relationships, reactions, and comment likes
- Saved preferences, calendar connections, activity, and recommendation data
- Your profile avatar and generated account-data export files
What is retained
Comments and direct messages are retained indefinitely as tombstoned records to preserve conversation integrity. In ordinary product views, the author appears as Deleted user and the content appears as This comment was deleted. or This message was deleted. Original text and media are not returned through ordinary user-facing views, search, exports, notifications, or recommendation features.
When deletion succeeds, live account identity and sign-in credentials have been transactionally revoked. Retained text and media are immediately unavailable through ordinary app APIs and views. Separate safety and support evidence may remain with the deleted person's identity anonymized.
Durable, retryable cleanup jobs then delete unretained media. Retained comment media is copied and verified in private storage before its public source is deleted, and custom-domain CDN caches are purged. A failed copy, delete, or purge remains queued for another attempt; a cached copy may be served briefly while that asynchronous purge is pending.
Security, legal, fraud-prevention, and backup records may also be retained as described in our Privacy Policy. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
